As Funday Sunday will see the arrival of many different groups of people to campus, especially children, we have come up with a few simple guidelines to make you aware of any potential issues that may come up during the day. There are obviously quite a few rules and regulations when it comes to working with children but simply using your common sense is usually more than enough.
This is particularly applicable to those holding performance or activity workshops where one-to-one contact with a child might occur. If you are not CRB-checked for the University and believe you may be left alone with one child or a group of children there will be many CRB-checked WSAF team members on hand during the day to help out in this capacity.
If you want to use photography to record your performances/audiences/activities for publicity or other use and a child or children will be included (where their faces are clear and recognisable - i.e. a photo of a crowd of people will usually be ok) you must first gain written permission from the child/children's parent or guardian. Permission forms are available from the WSAF website to download and print out and exec members will have some on the day.

Keep in mind the potential age groups of your audiences. Let the WSAF exec know asap if there are any potentially unsuitable aspects to your event that should be brought to the attention of visitors before they watch.
